Be hooked by the 'Booked'!

The volume
Speaking high about this book in February this year, Brian Tracy, the greatest master of personality development of our times, wrote to me like this:

If you're looking for a new book to read this month, I have a great recommendation for you.

It's 'Booked' by Josh Turner.

If you aren't familiar with Josh Turner, he represents clients all over the world and has helped thousands of people grow their business to become top earners by generating quality leads and appointments.

Josh put several years of his life into research, and a ton of trial and error to create and perfect an appointment generating system. His system has allowed his business and other businesses to rapidly grow.

This book can teach you to overcome the reason 80 percent of small businesses fail...

Senior Journalist C T Joshi didn't delay in going through as well as appreciating this book through a review, as follows:

ACHIEVING SUCCESS: IT’S REALLY SIMPLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD!

Josh Turner
It is a guide to one's success in life. Its importance lies in the fact that it is simple and straightforward, directly going into the subject matter of the book, entitled "Booked". Which is how to succeed in life, in whatever you have chosen to do in your life.

The author himself, Josh Turner, who earlier scripted the WSJ Bestseller 'Connect',  describes the theme of the book as follows

It's the essence of digital marketing and social media appointment setting system, for anyone looking for a steady stream of leads, appointments, and new clients.

As the author says, the book is set in the backdrop of modern technology-driven age.  Thus giving the age-old theme a modern orientation. The theme is as old, perhaps, as man. But Turner's approach is new.

The burden of his exhortation to the budding entrepreneurs is that, they should persevere in their endeavors without losing heart by all the losses and setbacks they may encounter. To use a much-used cliche, failure, is but a step towards success. One has to maintain a brave face, and face the life with hope and optimism. Backed, of course, by constant endeavor.

C T Joshi
What makes his exhortation more reliable and more dependable is that Turner gives his own experience of failures without any reservations or inhibitions. Undeterred by these failures, he never gave up, but kept up.

What else can be more effective, bring home whatever he wants to say, than the author's own story of failure and success?

And strengthening his propositions are several case studies he has presented in the book, of those who have reached their goals, by their unrelenting unrestrained efforts.

The key to success, the author rightly says, is to develop contacts, connect with prospective customers and find opportunities. In his words one should go on and on finding leads. And then, he is sure, the opportunities will come knocking at your doors. Very simple and straight forward.

To quote Turner --  rather extensively: To get your next client, you must first get your next lead. There’s no other way around it. Without a “lead,” it is almost impossible to sign a paying client. And the only way to land your next client (and the next one, and the next one…) is to position yourself in front of your prospects, convert a percentage of them into leads, schedule appointments, and turn at least one of them into a client. It really is that simple.

So simple and so straight forward, that one is apt to forget or overlook.
