W hile young, we were told to control spending by keeping our money in the bank. Can we tell the same to our future generations? I used to be a supporter of UPI and recommended it to many, before I came across the transaction connected to my SB Account in Union Bank of India (pasted below): As the said transaction failed, I paid the vendor through other means and came back, as that entire day, 14 July 2023, was earmarked for an important meeting in our house. Late evening that day, I was shocked as I came to know the account was hacked and the entire amount in it was looted. Immediately after that, I called up Customer Care and got the account frozen. Bank Branch acknowledged the account blockage next morning and issued the following statement related to the hack. All the tickmarks you witness in the statement relate to the hack.
